We want you to look back on your studies at CIM with fond memories – a time when you formed new friendships and collected new experiences. It is therefore important that you not only study hard but that you also enjoy your time with us.
CIM provides a diverse environment with a rich mix of students from different cultural and social backgrounds. Your years as a student will offer you a great opportunity to make new friends and broaden your horizons.
Excellence in teaching
As a student at CIM, you will have access to quality facilities: our libraries and computing facilities are of the highest standard and our innovative teaching methods will challenge you to get the most out of your course.
As well as succeeding academically, we want to make sure you enjoy your time at CIM, so we will be there to support you every step of the way.
Create your own destiny; seek success on your own terms. More than just on academic excellence, CIM places great emphasis on offering students life-enhancing experiences. Here at CIM, you will enjoy a wide array of programmes geared toward making your student experience an enjoyable one.
Instructional methods include lectures by academics who are actively involved in the running of leading companies and organisations. Guest lecturers are invited to lecture on current market developments, while, in addition to lectures, the teaching programme includes discussions, workshops, seminars, industry studies and video screenings. The programme methods are designed to foster continuing exchanges of views among students, providing a means to learn from each other and to gain new perspectives by interacting with students from other industries, countries and cultures.
We are here to provide the best possible support to our students. CIM has in place a friendly and welcoming team that can offer non-clinical advice and support throughout your studies.
Being a student can be stressful. At CIM, you will have access to mental health and well-being support and guidance. Our Student Support Office will be there for you for whenever you feel overwhelmed or worried about life events that are affecting your academic performance. We are committed to offering the best possible solutions and arrangements to help you navigate through your studies.
Nevertheless, in case a student wishes to file a complaint of any sort, our academic team will ensure that it is examined in a very transparent and fair way. For more information you can download the Student Complaints Procedure document.
CIM Student Union
Our students are at the heart of everything we do. CIM students are active learners in the classroom and they are also actively involved in the Business School’s academic and strategic decision making through their representation in committees and the Council. When you join CIM, you automatically become member of the CIM Student Union, an autonomous and entirely student-run body that puts together social, cultural, educational, and sport events.
The mission of the CIM Student Union is to develop and maintain meaningful, imaginative, reciprocal and sustainable relationships with our students in and out of the classroom in an effort to engage students, enable a free and independent student voice, contribute towards their educational journey whilst in the college and foster success during their studies and beyond.
Each campus elects its own representatives, with elections usually held in November. The following roles are available on the Union’s Council:
