Admission Requirements
English Language Requirements
To study at CIM-Cyprus Business School, you must provide evidence of English proficiency with one of the following:
- IELTS – Minimum 5.0
- TOEFL IBT – Minimum 71
- Pearson PTE Academic – Minimum 58
- IGCSE English as a Second Language – Minimum D
- Common European Framework (CEFR) – Minimum B1
Important
Undergraduate Entry Requirements
- CIM programmes: Secondary School Certificate with a 14/20 GPA.
- UWL (franchise) programmes: Secondary School Certificate with a 15/20 GPA.
- English Proficiency: IELTS 5.0 or equivalent.
Postgraduate Entry Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university.
- 2 years of work experience (for MBA & MBA Shipping).
- English Proficiency: IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.

How to Apply
The application process is simple and fully online. Follow these steps:
- Complete the online application form at the ‘APPLY’ link
- Upload required documents, including academic certificates, English test scores, and passport copy. All documents must be in English and be Apostilled and scanned as pdf files.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee. All fees are shown here.
- Await confirmation and further instructions.
Note:
Student Visa Process
Before Applying
- All non-EU students must apply for a student visa before arriving in Cyprus.
- Submit your visa application (MEDU1/MEDUM1 form) and required documents before the deadline.
- A minimum advance tuition payment of €3,000 is required for visa processing.
Documents Required for Visa
- Valid Passport (valid for at least 2 years).
- Bank statement proving you can cover tuition and living expenses.
- Criminal record certificate from your home country.
- Medical testsfor Hepatitis B & C, HIV/AIDS, Syphilis, and Tuberculosis.
- Acceptance letter from CIM.
- Proof of accommodation (rental agreement or title deed).
All documents must be in English or Greek. If not, they must be officially translated and certified.
After Arrival in Cyprus
- Register with the Civil Registry and Migration Department (CRMD) within 7 days of arrival.
- Submit updated medical testsfrom a hospital in Cyprus.
- Provide a statement from a bank in Cyprus showing you have sufficient funds.
- Obtain health insurance (mandatory for all students).
Residence Permit & Attendance Rules
- Students must attend at least 70% of their classes.
- Missing more than 30% of classes may result in visa cancellation.
- Your residence permit may not be renewed if you fail courses or do not make academic progress.
Employment During Studies
- International students can work part-time but only with official permission from the Cyprus Ministry of Labour.
- Work hours and job types are limited, so check regulations before applying.

No. A tourist visa cannot be converted into a student visa. You must apply for a student visa before arriving in Cyprus.
An asylum seeker is someone applying for protection in Cyprus. CIM accepts asylum seekers and students with refugee status.
Yes, refugees with legal status in Cyprus can apply. They must meet the same entry requirements as other international students.
No, EU citizens do not need a visa. However, they must register their residence with Cypriot authorities upon arrival.
Visa processing takes around 90 days (3 months). Apply early and wait for your Entry Permit (Blue Slip) before booking flights.
