Prof. Theo Hadjiyannis
B.Sc., M.Sc., F.C.I.M. F.C.M.A.
Prof. Hadjiyannis studied for two years at Exeter College in Devon, U.K, from where he received a Diploma in Business Studies. He then continued his studies at Loughborough University, obtaining a B.Sc in Sociology & Economics. From Loughborough, Prof. Hadjiyannis entered City University in London, gaining from City an M.Sc. in Administrative Sciences, majoring in Marketing.
In 1976, he returned to Cyprus from the UK to be employed by a large firm which manufactured building material, he held the post of Export Manager. Subsequently, Prof. Hadjiyannis joined the Central Bank of Cyprus. He held that post for three years. He was the Director-General of CIM until 2020. In August 1983, he was appointed Honorary Education Liaison Officer of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). In 1987, he was elected President of the Cyprus Association of Private Tertiary Educational Institutions, while in 1991 he was inaugurated as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).
