Helen Papacostantis grew up in South Africa completing her studies at the University of the Witwatersrand, where she graduated with a BCom, LLB degree and later an LLM. Helen is an admitted attorney and Conveyancer in the High Court of South Africa who has practiced in the fields of labour law, general litigation and conveyancing among others. Helen has been lecturing since 2003 and joined the School of Law at University of the Witwatersrand permanently in 2012, teaching in insolvency law, law of succession, commercial law, and aspects of climate change and energy law, among others. After moving to Cyprus, Helen has been teaching as a member of faculty in human resource management, the field of business administration, business ethics and others. She has also continued in a sessional capacity with the University of the Witwatersrand. Helen’s research interests include climate change, education and gender equality.
