Anna Appiou has a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Cyprus and is a qualified Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) as well as member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Cyprus (ICPAC-ΣΕΛΚ). She brings over a decade of professional experience in auditing and accounting, gained through her work in an audit firm and the shipping industry.
Currently, Anna works as a Business Controller at one of the largest ship management companies, where she is involved in budgeting, financial analysis, and coordinating reporting processes across multiple business units. She has also held the position of Team Leader in Vessel Accounting department in the same company, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and team coordination. Earlier in her career, Anna worked as Senior Auditor, conducting external audits for a diverse portfolio of clients and gaining valuable experience in audit, financial reporting, regulatory compliance and client communication.
Anna is passionate about sharing knowledge and supporting others in their professional growth. She brings a practical, well-rounded perspective to her teaching, combining real-world experience with a friendly and supportive approach.
