Dr Karaolis received his doctorate in law from the University of Oxford, where he was awarded an Arts and Humanities Research Council Scholarship and a Law Faculty Scholarship. Dr Karaolis has taught law at several universities, including the University of Oxford – where he taught law and public policy at the Blavatnik School of Government, and at the University of Surrey – where he taught EU law. Dr Karaolis was also researcher in law at the Laboratory for Advanced Research on the Global Economy (LAB) situated at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
