Dr Amel Farhat is a Senior Lecturer at Cyprus Business School, where she teaches Maritime Logistics & Global Supply Chain Management on the e-MBA Shipping programme. She holds a Ph.D. in Geography from the National University of Singapore and a Master’s degree in Geography from Université Paris VII, with a specialisation in transport geography. Her academic and professional career brings together university teaching, applied research and international consulting across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America. She has designed and delivered postgraduate modules, supervised MBA dissertations and Ph.D. theses, and supported students in research methods, academic writing and applied business analysis. Her maritime and logistics expertise includes research for Maersk, cruise-market strategy for Disney Cruise Line, and published work on dry ports, the Malacca Strait and cross-border transport corridors in Southeast Asia. Alongside her academic work, she has led qualitative and quantitative research programmes for global organisations, translating complex evidence into practical recommendations. Her teaching combines academic rigour, current industry cases and an interactive, student-centred approach.
