Another successful Open Lecture by CIM
Demetris Georgiades, Chair of the Fiscal Council of The Republic of Cyprus, spoke to CIM students and the general public on Wednesday 16th November 2016, as part of CIM’s Guest Lectures series.
Demetris Georgiades is the Chair of the Fiscal Council, which was set up in 2014 with the task of providing timely and effective public intervention aimed at the avoidance of a fiscal derailment. He is a Chartered Accountant who worked in the Shipping industry for years. From 1998 to 2014 he held the position of Finance Director/Columnist/Analyst/Journalist in the daily newspaper “Politis” and is a founding member of the Non-Government Organisation, “Transparency International – Cyprus”.
